St. James' Parish Old Herring Creeke   Children and Youth Announcements    December 2, 2013 Youth Confirmation Classes -    Next Youth Confirmation class is Monday, December 23rd from 7:00pm-8:00pm.  The date for confirmation has changed to Sunday, June 15, 2014.  Bishop Eugene T. Sutton will be making a visitation to St. James' and will officiate the Rite of Confirmation for those youth who have completed the Confirmation class.   December Events!!     December 6th - Christian rock concert at Gen-Xaret in Columbia.               The 2013 Christmas Pageant featuring Family     Force 5 with Flame.     December 8th - Toys R Us shopping from 11:30am - 3pm with the                              youth (6th - 12th grade) for the Salvation Army Sing                          Along. December 11th - Salvation Army Sing Along starting at 6:00pm. December 21st - Christmas Baskets from 7:00am - 11:00am December 21st - Sight & Sound Miracle of Christmas Field Trip for the                           YAC Class (10th-12th grade). Coming Soon!! Wes Wubbenhorst   Friday - Saturday , December 13 -14 - Nightwatch Philadelphia.  Open to both junior and senior high youth! Come join us as we travel to Philadelphia for a special program.  We will join their Nightwatch Friday night and Saturday morning and then tour around Philadelphia and be home around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. ->Cost $35.00 dinner included!  There are 20 places left.   December 13-14, 2013 @                  Saint Peter's in the Great Valley, Malvern, PA   Schedule of the Event 7:00-7:30 pm          Registration 7:30-8:15 pm          Ice Breakers & Orientation 8:15-8:30 pm          Snack Break 8:30-9:15 pm          Small Group Discussion 9:15-10:45 pm        Curated Eucharist 10:45-11:45 pm      Games & Preparing for Bed 12:00 am                Lights Out 8:00-8:30 am          Wake Up, Dress & Clean Up 8:30-9:15 am          Breakfast 9:15-9:45 am          Morning Prayer 9:45-10:00 am        Dismissal   Diocesan Youth Event - Nightwatch at St. John the Divine, New York with The Rev. Wes Wubbenhorst   Friday - Saturday, January 10 - 11th  - Nightwatch St. John the Divine -New York City Open to both junior and senior high youth. This is a restart of the program at the world's largest church.  We depart 12:00 noon on Friday and return Saturday evening.  The program is Friday evening through Saturday morning then time to visit New York City before coming home at 8:00. ->Cost $85 includes transportation dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday! There are 40 places left for this trip.   Things to Pack!   1. Sleeping bag & pillow 2. Toiletries and any overnight medications 3. Pajamas and clothes for traveling 4.
