St. James' Parish Old Herring Creeke   Children and Youth Announcements    March 3, 2014 Youth Confirmation Classes -       Next Youth Confirmation class is tonight, March  24th from 7:00pm-8:00pm.  We will be discussing Chapter 6.  The date for confirmation has changed to Sunday, June 15, 2014.  Bishop Eugene T. Sutton will be making a visitation to St. James' and will officiate the Rite of Confirmation for those youth who have completed the Confirmation class.   Pancake Supper -  Tuesday, March 4th the youth will help make and serve pancakes and sausage to the community. The Pancake Supper is from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Youth (6th-12th grade) are asked to arrive no later than 4:30pm to review procedures, help set up, and get things ready. Bishop's Bash -  Saturday, March 8th at St. John's, Ellicott City from 6:00-10:00pm. The event is for youth 7th-12th grade.  We will leave St. James' Church at 5:00pm and return no later than 11:00pm.     The cost is $5 per youth.  Click here for more information about the event.  Please email Dawn+ at dawncampbell@stjameslothian.com if your teen is interested in attending the event.  We don't want to leave anyone behind.   Please complete the Youth Fellowship Registration Form, and the permission slip below. Youth Fellowship - Parental Permission for Bishop's Bash on March 8, 2014   As a parent/guardian, by signing this permission slip, you are giving consent for the youth named below to attend the above named event. Youth Name:____________________________________________________________ Parent/Guardian Name:_______________________________________________ Parent/Guardian Contact Phone Number: (Cell)______________________________ (Home)_____________________________ Parent/Guardian Signature:____________________________________________ *Permission slips are required for all youth participating in events without parental supervision, and are in addition to the required Youth Fellowship Registration that must be on file for all youth.   J2A Car Wash & Bake Sale - On Sunday, March 16th from 10:00am - 1:00pm the J2A class will be washing cars and selling baked goods to help raise funds for the the pilgrimage they will take in 2015.   The car wash will take place on the far side of the education building in the space between the labyrinth and the lower level. Why take your car to the automated car wash when you can receive a personal touch and help fund the St. James' youth pilgrimage. All donations go to the pilgrimage fund. You can also contribute buy bringing in baked goods for sale.  The proceeds will go toward the pilgrimage fund. Province III Senior High Retreat (Diocesan Event) -   March 14-16th  for more information on this event sponsored by the diocese click here. Acolyte Pilgrimage at St. Anne's, Annapolis - Saturday, March 29th from 9:00am-3:00pm.  We will leave St. James' Church at 8:15am.  For youth interested in attending the pilgrimage, please email Dawn+ at dawncampbell@stjameslothian.com.
